A. van Overeem (1820-1892) wrote many plays for the rederijkers in Amsterdam including the Thomasvaer and Pieternel series. This collection starts with verses to be used at several occasions where no specific adressee is known, and then many verses written for named friends and acquaintances: silver wedding Nicolaas Wafelbakker (2-10-1862), friendship of A.
