Lucius Cornelius Cinna (c. 130-84 BC) was a Roman politician and military leader. He became consul several times and was a strong supporter of the popularis faction. During a civil war, he allied with Gaius Marius and seized control of Rome. His rule was marked by political violence and reforms in favor of his supporters. Cinna was killed by his own soldiers in 84 BC while preparing for war against Sulla.
Augustus
Augustus (63 BC-AD 14), born Gaius Octavius, was the first emperor of Rome. After the assassination of Julius Caesar, he defeated his rivals, including Mark Antony, and became the sole ruler of the Roman world. His reign brought peace and stability in a period known as the Pax Romana. Augustus reorganized the government, strengthened the army, and expanded the empire. He ruled for over 40 years and laid the foundation for the Roman Empire.
