Some marginal waterstains. pencil stripes in the margins. Hugo Grotius wrote this book in Paris after his escape from Loevestein castle explaining and defending his vision and conduct. Of the Dutch translation ten editions were published in 1622/1623. Of this version a copy was found by Ter Meulen in the library of Vredespaleis. The printer is possibly I.W. van der Beeck from Hoorn.
