This letter of nobility states that Mr. Isaac Lambertus Cremer van den Berch (Zaltbommel, 6 January 1811 – 's-Gravenhage, 2 July 1879) is of noble descent, as is his wife (Christina Elisabeth Roelants) and his present and future offspring (inluding his son Isaäc Burchard Diederik van den Berch van Heemstede, as his father member of parliament) with the title of jonkheer. The letter is signed by King William II of Orange. Van den Berch van Heemstede was a lawyer (advocaat) in Leiden and member of parliament (Staten-Generaal) on behalf of the city of Leiden.
