First edition of De Rouck's work on heraldry, of which two more editions would be published in 1671 en 1673, but with different titles. It is the oldest and only Dutch work on heraldry until the mid nineteenth century. De Rouck developed a hatching system to convey heraldic colors in print. A table of this hatching system is found on page 55 of the second part.
