's Gravenhage, Giunta d'Albani, 1836-1837-1838 ,viii,256+ix,256+ix,256 pages, original paper on board binding, complete set of three volumes of the collected works of the members of the literary society founded in 1834 in the Hague, the third volume contains the first translation in Dutch of Parisina, the poem by Lord Byron translated by Jan Jacob Lodewijk ten Kate (1819-1889). Parisina is a poem written by Lord Byron. It was published on 13 February 1816 and probably written between 1812 and 1815. It is based on a story related by Edward Gibbon in his Miscellaneous Works about Niccolò III d'Este, one of the dukes of Ferrara who lived in the 15th century. Nicolaas Beets would publish his translation in 1838.
