Depicted are Dr. David Cohen, Dr. Nico (Nicolaas Johannes) Krom and Dr. A.J. (Bram) Luyt at the occasion of the defense by Krom of his dissertation: ‘De populis Germanis Patriam Nostram incolentibus’ Leiden, 1908. Afterwards he became professor. David Cohen was professor and would become member of the Joodsche Raad responsible for cooperating to a certain extent with the German occupying forces in the removal of the Jewish population from Amsterdam during the Second World War. A.J. Luyt would write a dissertation on Klikspaans studentenschatesen in 1910. Judaica.
