Original photograph 10,5×16,5cm, taken by Van der Stok, Breestraat 149 Leiden, of three men in 1908 wearing white tie following the doctorate of one of them (doctor and paranymfen). Depicted are Dr. David Cohen, Dr. Nico (Nicolaas Johannes) Krom and Dr. A.J. (Bram) Luyt at the occasion of the defense by Krom of his dissertation: ‘De populis Germanis Patriam Nostram incolentibus’ Leiden, 1908. Afterwards he became professor. David Cohen was professor and would become member of the Joodsche Raad responsible for cooperating to a certain extent with the German occupying forces in the removal of the Jewish population from Amsterdam during the Second World War. A.J. Luyt would write a dissertation on Klikspaans studentenschatesen in 1910. Judaica.
