Haarlem, Jan Bosch, 1758, 4to., full parchment spitselbinding with blind tooling on the front and back, [10]+XII+144+90 pp., parchment somewhat smudged, endpapers have come loose exposing the coverboards, beautiful printwork with only some stains, solid construction, engraved frontispiece (Vinvent vand. Vinne Invent et fec.), engraved emblem on titlepage (Assiduitate), woodcut tailpieces, 30 engraved emblems in the first text ‘Leerzame zinnebeelden’ (by Vincent vander Vinne) and 4 engraved emblems in the second text ‘Spiegel der boetvaardigheid en genade’ (by J.C. Philips). This copy was awarded to Anna Harder for her good studies (prijsband) in 1763 by the Kerkeraad der Doopsgezinden (Haarlem). With a modern handwritten note in blue ink on the front flyleaf (names illegible): ‘Aan (…) (…). In vriendschap. (…). 24-05-1958.’
