19th wax seal as used on the correspondence by B. Hartogensis & Zoon from Den Haag. Bernardus Hartogensis (1793-1870) was a jewish banker (original name Nathan Behr Hartog) residing at Den Haag who owned and later donated the synagogue in the Bernardstraat to the jewish community.
