Full-length portrait of the Catholic saint and martyr Gangulphus who died in 760. He is shown in full armor, resting his hand on the hilt of a sword.
Engraving on laid paper, by Cornelis Visscher (1628 – 1658) after Pieter Soutman (ca. 1580 – 1657), published by Soutman in 1650, sheet size: 474 x 345 mm., platemark 440 x 311 mm., sheet overall a little browned, some small stains in the edges of the image area, small tears and some paper loss in the right margin.

Cornelis Visscher was probably a student of Pieter Soutman, so here we have an instance of the student directly copying their master.
