Bound in publishers beige cloth with Blind stamped decor and gilt decoration of cherubs and flowers to boards, original spine with gilt title and decor to spine, foxing to some of the plates, text very clean bright and tight. 64p plus publishers catalogue at rear, all edges gilt. Quarto with thirty-six superb guarded steel engraved plates of portraits and views. Views included of Albania, The Bosphorous, Genoa, Verona and Tivoli – Italy, and Jerusalem. A difficult title to find nowadays, many copies having been broken for the plates. Faxon, 1270, locating the British Library copy only. The fifteenth year of issue of this Annual. The entire contents are verse by Mrs Norton, with the exception of a few short prose quotations introducing the subjects of the plates, the longest of which, a description of an opium den visited in China, is by Lord Jocelyn.
