Two mules in the foreground, a mule driver with two additional mules in the background.
Etching on hand laid paper, sheet size 138 x 153 mm., made by Karel du Jardin (or Dujardin; 1626-1678) after his own design. Number 2 from a series of etchings of animals in landscapes, published in 1652.
In good condition, cropped within platemark, a faint diagonal crease from the lower right corner to the top middle. Some foxing and faint soiling.
