A man wearing a hat and leaning on a counter or table, smokes a long Dutch pipe. One of the states in the collection of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam bears the (manuscript) title Scheveningse vischboer (Fishmonger from Scheveningen).
Etching on thin laid paper, sheet size 104 x 157 mm., platemark 85 x 93 mm., etching by Anthonie W.H. Nolthenius de Man (Nijmegen 1793-1842 The Hague) after Simon Besanger (The Hague 1778-1801 The Hague), and dated 1828.
In very good condition, some minimal creasing in the margins.
