To the left, a path crosses in front of a barn. On the path a man with his dog. To the right, in a meadow, two shepherds are resting amidst their flock. The path and the meadow are divided by a stream.

Ferdinand Kobell (Mannheim 1740 – 1799, Munich) was a German painter and printmaker.
In excellent condition, some soiling in the lower right margin corner. An unidentified collection mark (Lugt 2644, monogram WPL) stamped on the verso.
