A man leans on the lower half of the double door to a farmhouse with waterwheel. A man with his dog stands outside the farmhouse, while a woman sits nearby with a spindle.

Ferdinand Kobell (Mannheim 1740 – 1799, Munich) was a German painter and printmaker.
In very good condition, some stains in the top margin (not affecting image). An unidentified collection mark (Lugt 2644: monogramme WPL) stamped on the verso.
