Bust size portrait of Ferdinand of Bavaria (1550-1608), the second son of Albert V, Duke of Bavaria, and Archduchess Anna of Austria.
Engraving and etching on hand laid paper, sheet size 325 x 245 mm., platemark 185 x 120 mm. Anonymous engraving, possibly copied from the portrait made by Cornelis Danckerts (I) c. 1640. This copy c. 1670-1730. With manuscript annotation '16' below the image.
In good condition, despite quite ruffled sheet edges (creasing in the right edge, several small nicks in the left and lower edges; partly reinforced with acid-free archival tape). The image area clean and quite fresh.
