Engraving on wove paper, sheet size 246 x 156 mm., platemark 168 x 120 mm. By an anonymous engraver after Friedrich Georg Weitsch. Published in Meyers Konversationslexikon, c. 1860.
Friedrich Georg Weitsch (Brunswick 1758-1828 Berlin) was a German (court) painter, etcher and art dealer. He was the son of Johann Friedrich (Pascha) Weitsch.
In good condition, some discolouration in the margin corner lower right, a crease in the top left margin corner. A faint dampstain in the top right corner, partly covering the image area.
