Haarlem, Timotheus ten Hoorn, 1690, 4to., original full leather binding, ribbed spine with gold tooling, original handsewn headbands, sprinkled edges, [6]+880+206+[10] pp. The binding is damaged with the head of the spine coming loose, the headband on the top is coming loose, the corners of the boards are exposed, the spine of the bookblock is pulled inward (concaaf), the sewing is inact and the pages are mostly clean (some stains in the foldlines of the signatures). With an engraved titlepage and bound with: ‘Declaratie van zyn Hoogheid Wilhelm Henrik’ containing 5 engravings (of which 4 are fold out engravings), one fold out engraving has a small tear (in the margin). In the back, an engraving on a separate leaf is inserted, depicting De la Faijette (Claessens sculp.) There is a note in ink on the back endpaper stating the cost of this book in the old days: ‘2 guld. 14 st.’
