Jager, [1852-1900?], 180+179pp. possible two parts of a series of three (titlepages show ** and *** so there could have been a *), original blue tooled linen bindings, gilt lettering and ornaments on spine, ornaments on front, gilt edges, both volumes contain 5 steelangravings in one volume by J.B. Tetar van Elven, some after W.I.J.N. Nuyen (frontispiece), A.Scheffer, Moritz Calisch, J.H. van de Laar and in second volume by D.J. Sluyter after Alfred de Dreux (frontispiece), W.F. Wehmeijer after J.H. Weissenbruch (landscape), after H. Sebron, D.J. Sluyter after L.A. Vintcent and after David Bles. Protective paper pages foxed. Both volumes contain a collection of short stories and poetry intended for reading by ladies. None of these books are present in KB. Only one copy at Research Library of Rijksmuseum (possible first volume with 223 pp.). Interesting collection.
