The book is in good condition with only some wear along the edges and some foxing. With a silhouette portrait in black of David Jacobus van Lennep (frontispiece). Biography of the generations Van Lennep. At first it was Jacob van Lennep's intention to publish his father's

formerly unpublished poems, with a short introduction to his life. The work gradually expanded and grew.
