Bosch en Zoon, [1868], 1st edition, each section has its own pagenumbers, large chromolithograph plates with portraits and written biographies written by Jacob van Lennep (1802-1868). binding is suffering, the book is complete but the first few pages and plates are loose as well as the last few pages. Linen tooled binding, faded and damaged (spine), gilt ornaments on front, tooled back, gilt title on spine. Extensive list of those who ordered a book in advance.The most of these books were scrapped and the portraits sold seperately. This edition not in KB. Scarce.
