An angel with drawn sword approaches Bileam and the speaking donkey for the third time.
Engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 303 x 201 mm., platemark 293 x 192 mm. With a caption in German and Latin. Engraving published by Johann Georg Hertel (I), based on a design by Gottfried Eichler (II) after their own design. From a large series of Biblical engravings (this number 153 and 4) published in Augsburg, c. 1760.
In good condition, remains of attachment to carrier in the top margin, small creases in the corners.
