Portrait of Ecgberht (or Egbert, and sometimes referred to as Egbert of Rath Melsigi) preaching on the pulpit. This (rectangular) image is set inside of an oval landscape.
Etching inside of an oval engraving, with letterpress text underneath. Sheet size 322 x 206 mm., platemarks 196 x 160 and 133 x 82 mm. Anonymous print, published in the first edition of Hugo van Heussen's 'Batavia Sacra' (Brussels: François Foppens, 1714).
In fair condition, foxing in the lower edge of the sheet as well as the sides. Pinholes and minimal paper loss in the top edge.
