Beschrijving
Andreas Andriessen was born in Schoondijke on January 27, 1699. His father, Jacobus, served as a minister in several towns – Schoondijke, Colijnsplaat, Goes, and Vlissingen – and his mother was Adriana Saal.
After completing his studies, Andriessen was admitted as a candidate for the ministry in 1720. Shortly afterward, he was appointed pastor in Kerkwerve, where he began his service on July 7, 1720.
On January 2, 1724, he became minister in Steenbergen, a position he held until May 14, 1729. He then accepted a call to Veere, where he served faithfully until June 2, 1763. On that date, he was honorably retired and spent the following four and a half years in rest until his death on January 12, 1768.
