Blank receipts,printed on laid paper with watermark, set of 5 individual copies, of these two notable lawyers from Haarlem. The receipts were printed for use between 1910-1919. Jan Bomans was the father of Godfried Bomans, the famous author. Johannes Bernardus (Jan) Bomans (Amsterdam, 11 May 1885 – Heemstede, 20 March 1941) was a Dutch lawyer and roman catholic politician. He was a member of Roomsch-Katholieke Staatspartij and refused to accept the Vlootwet 1924 and orchestrated a political crisis. He started this law firm after 1913. He was member of municipal council, provincial council, parliament and gedeputeerde.
