Half length portrait of the organist and bell rigner Dirk Schol (1641-1727) seated on a chair. He is holding a rolled piece of paper with music. On the right background an opened window from which is visible the tower of the Nieuwe Kerk in Delft. Titled on the bottom: ‘DIRK SCOLL / Organist en klokkenist voor desen tot Arnhem… en tijd. / Anno 1699 / J. van der Wilt pinx. et fec.’
