Plate from the serie ´Praecipva aliqvot Romanae antiqvitatis rvinarvm, monimenta, vivis prospectibvs, ad veri imitationem affabre designata´ published in Antwerp by Hieronymus Cock in 1551. It depicts the ruins of the thermal buildings of Diocletian in Rome. In the foreground four men engaging a sword fight. Signed lower left ´COCK. F. 1550´, numbered on the top left sky in reverse ‘9’, inscribed on the top right corner:´EX RVINIS THERMARVM IMP. DIOCLITIANI, PROSPECTVS VNVS´
