Illuminated optical print of the Dutch city of Delft. In the center of the print the ammunition warehouse is situated. This building is now known as the Army Museum in Delft. The print is hand coloured in a delicate way. Illuminated by small holes and figures which are punched through the paper. At the back of the print we see that the holes are covered with see-through paper. Some of the holes are coated with green, yellow, red and blue paint. This gives the illusion of coloured lights behind the windows when the print is held in front of a light source. The three windows of the ammunition warehouse show figures standing inside of the building.
