Title page to a suite of prints with animals by Philippe Jacques de Loutherbourg: two shepherds are resting sitting on a rock in the left foreground; beside them a standing donkey and a dog. Descending on the right another shepherd with his horses. On the right, in the distance, mountains. On the left inscription carved on a wall, upon which a stone lion is resting: ‘Ire SUITE / D’ANIMAUX / INVENTES ET DESSINES / PAR J. P. LOUTHERBOURG / PEINTRE DU ROY’. Lettered below: ‘Se vend á Paris chez Lenfant rue…. la rue des Lavandiers’
