Gottlieb Christoph Adolf von Harless was a 19th-century German Lutheran theologian and a leading advocate of traditional Lutheran doctrine. He taught theology, helped shape the Erlangen School, and played an important role in strengthening the Lutheran Church in Bavaria. He is best known for his works on Christian ethics and Lutheran theology.
