The first part of this famous work by Daniel Defoe was translated in Dutch in 1720. The next year a reprint was published. The second part was not as popular. Nevertheless, in 1722 the third part was translated to Ducth as well. In the years 1735 and 1736 a second edition was published by the same publisher, following the first edition accurately. More editions would follow by different publishers and with different compositions. Here we have the first volume in two parts of the second edition, richly illustrated with beautiful engravings.
