Manuscript. 30 June 1620, [Utrecht], 32×21 cm, single folded leaf, written on two pages. Handwritten document concerning the Utrecht Dom church, signed by Ant. van Hilten. Antoni van Hilten (1586-1670) was state secretary of the ‘Staaten 's Lands van Utrecht’, after being a nobleman in the court of Prince Maurits of Orange. The document lists a number of institutions that have to pay a certain sum for the maintenance of ’t licht vanden Domkerke t Utrecht’ (the light (?) of the Utrecht Dom Church). For instance, the state was obliged to pay 150 f. each year, the city of Utrecht paid 60 f. and several churches paid 50 f. Interesting document that shines light (!) on the history of the Dom church in Utrecht.
