Vintage bookmark, [ca. 1924], 12×2,5 cm, in promotion of Assimil, printed in black and gold on firm red paper with the option to insert over the top of a page. Assimil still exists and is – according to their website – ‘Europe's top language learning method’. The text on this bookmark is French: ‘La methode facile vous permettra rapidement de lire dans le texte les bons auteurs étrangers, renseignez-vous chez votre libraire’. The bookmark is not dated, but was found in a book published in 1924.
