Outside a stable, a horse with rider rears, while a second and third horse are exiting the stables. A dog scratches behind it's ear in the foreground.
Etching on hand laid paper, sheet size 191 x 147 mm., etching by Dirk Stoop (c. 1610-1686) after his own design, signed in the plate and dated 1651. This is the first print from a series of twelve featuring horses.
In good condition, cropped within platemark, some faint foxing (mostly visible in the left edge).
