Several figures are resting or standing near the jetty where the ferry leaves. The ferry itself is a rowboat to the right.

Joannes Bemme (Rotterdam 1775-1841 The Hague) was a draughtsman, watercolorist and printmaker. Most of his etchings are after old masters, or military themed.
In good condition. A tear in the top margin (not affecting image). Glued to matting, with brown glue that bleeds through on the top margin (outside of image area). A small spot in the right margin. Image clean and a nice impression.
