Portrait of French engraver Paul Malvieux.
Engraving with stipplework on hand laid paper, sheet size 307 x 207 mm., platemark 232 x 153 mm. Engraved by Paul Malvieux, after his own design, c. 1780. This print was also published in various editions of Lavater's 'Essays on Physiognomy'.
Paul Malvieux (1763-1791) was a German printmaker and artist.
In very good condition. Minimal discolouration in the top margin. A few scattered tiny stains in the margins.
