Steel engraving on wove paper, shee size 288 x 223 mm., platemark 223 x 171 mm. Engraving by August Weger, after an anonymous photograph. Printed by Weger and published by Baumgärtner.
August Weger (Nuremberg 1823-1892 Leipzig) was a German steel engraver, active from c. 1840 to 1870. From 1849 he worked in Leipzig.
In good condition, some small nicks in the sheet edges, lower margin lightly toned. The image area clean and fresk.
