Bust-length portrait of Carl Friedrich Wiebeking, turned to the right and looking forward.
Engraving and etching on hand laid paper, sheet size 190 x 113 mm., platemark 158 x 99 mm. Engraved by Anton Wachsmann after Jacob Ernst Schneeberger. The faint impression of text (not on the verso) suggests this print was published in a book. We have, however, not been able to establish which publication.
Anton Wachsmann (c. 1765-1836 Berlin) was a German etcher and draughtsperson, mainyl specialising in genre scenes.
In good condition, with the faint impression of letterpress text around the image area.
