Beschrijving
Manuscript, 6pp. handwritten in ink, poem on the city of Amsterdam by an anonymous author (Sepp?), written in the 19th century, it seems to be a playful conversation between Grietje Koops and Bram (Brampje), their connection is not specified, but they seem to have lived in Amsterdam, several Amsterdam streets are mentioned: Heeremarkt, Brouwergracht, Dommerstraat (‘Nooit zulk een ergernis als op die plaats gehad’). The conversation comes back to a ‘Pofferkraam’ a few times, a stall where they make and sell tiny pancakes, a Dutch sweet treet called ‘poffertjes’.
It seems to be a poem written for a special occassion, but the occassion is not specified. Reminiscent of a marriage poem.
