Copperplate etching/engraving of the siege of Groll, now known as Groenlo in the Dutch province of Gelderland, by Prince Maurits in 1595. In the front the general Mondragon is portrayed. (plate 222). With explanatory caption surrounding the print. ca. 1616. Overall size: 17 x 23 cm; plate size: 13,4 x 16 cm. Good state. Some age related discolouration. Handlaid paper. Printed text on the verso of the print.
