Engraving and stipple work on wove paper, sheet size 292 x 202 mm., platemark c. 200 x 145 mm. Engraving by August Weger, after an anonymous photograph. Published by Dürrschen Buchhandlung, c. 1850.
August Weger (Nuremberg 1823-1892 Leipzig) was a German steel engraver, active from c. 1840 to 1870. From 1849 he worked in Leipzig.
In good condition, foxing in the margins. The image area mostly clean, except a few spots.
